Re-centring Community, Care, and Curiosity in a Decentred Journalism Studies: A Response to Journalism Studies for Realists

In this response to the article by Matt Carlson and Chris Peters, we consider challenge that authors deem key for journalism studies their answer challenge: “realist studies.” We explore what mean decentring studies, “realism,” reason wanting keep studies. conclude exploring main studies: untangle does in society how it can serve people communities better, methodologies theories would need do so from a place of curiosity, not opposition.
